Dan Duran is an Emmy-nominated documentary film producer and editor based in Los Angeles, CA. Working in both the documentary and commercial space, Dan has produced, shot, and edited documentary feature films and series for Participant Media, HBO, NatGeo WILD, SHOWTIME, VICE, Netflix, Discovery+, Hulu, and Apple TV+. His commercial work consist of social-minded branded content for Neutrogena, Twitter, Mercedes-Benz, VIZIO, Durex and the African Wildlife Foundation.
Dan’s films have taken him all over the world. His credits include co-producer and editor of the HBO documentary, ABORTION: STORIES WOMEN TELL, (Tribeca 2016 and News & Documentary Emmy nominee 2018), co-producer and editor of Discovery+ documentary, THE SMARTEST KIDS IN THE WORLD (DOC NYC 2018), co-editor of SHOWTIME documentary, SOPHIA (Tribeca 2022), editor of Netflix documentary film, RETURN TO SPACE, editor of the HBO docu-series, SEX DIARIES, editor of the Freeform/Hulu docu-series, THE DEEP END, and most recently, editor of the Apple TV+ docu-series, THE DYNASTY.
